Study in the USA: University Admission & F-1 Visa Guidance

The United States has the largest and most varied higher-education system in the world — from large public research universities to small liberal-arts colleges. For Indian students that choice is both the opportunity and the challenge: there are thousands of programmes, and each university sets its own requirements and deadlines.

VedaPath helps you narrow that field to a realistic, well-balanced list, build an application that reflects your profile, and prepare for the F-1 student visa interview.

  • Requires the SEVIS fee, the DS-160 application and an interview at a US embassy or consulate in India.
  • The interview focuses on your study plans, finances and intent — we run mock interviews so you can answer clearly in your own words.

After you graduate

F-1 graduates may apply for Optional Practical Training (OPT), and eligible STEM graduates for a STEM OPT extension. Eligibility and duration are set by US Citizenship and Immigration Services and can change, so confirm the current rules on the official sites below before you decide.
