Study in UK

Study in the UK: University Admissions & Student Visa Guidance

UK universities offer focused degrees: most taught master's programmes last one year, and bachelor's degrees in England usually take three. That makes the UK a popular choice for students who want a recognised qualification without a long time away from work.

VedaPath guides you through course selection, UCAS or direct applications, your Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) and the UK Student visa.

FAQ

Studying in UK: common questions

Is a one-year UK master's recognised in India?

UK master's degrees from recognised universities are generally accepted by employers in India. For government jobs or further study, check the specific body's equivalence rules.

Can I study in the UK without IELTS?

Some universities accept alternatives such as PTE or TOEFL, or waive the test based on your Class 12 English marks. The Home Office may still need evidence of English, so we confirm this per university.

What is a CAS?

A Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies is an electronic reference your university issues once you have accepted an unconditional offer. You need it to apply for the Student visa.

When should I apply for the September intake?

Start 9–12 months ahead. Popular courses can fill early, and you need time for your CAS and visa.
